Some stories are huge, some are small. Each one is an opportunity to make a difference. We believe in art, and we believe in capitalism. That's why we're equally at home with a fictional movie as well as a corporate video. An important story is an important story, period.

We may not be experts in every subject, but we are experts in conveying a message.... telling a story. That's what you need to get your point across.

Music is the heartbeat of life, and a great song can be made all the more compelling with the right video. Whether live performance, story/narrative or a combination of the two, our team can craft a highly effective visual compliment to the song.

Philosophy?

People love stories. It's in our DNA. We love the art of storytelling. Whether it's a music video, a documentary or a corporate marketing piece, we love the process of crafting an interesting and engaging finished product.

There are countless details that go into making an effective video that works. At the root is the story...the script. It has to be tight, cohesive, engaging. Shot framing is important. Color grading of each shot must be appealing and cohesive. And then there's editing. A fraction of a second can make the difference between a powerful moment or an ineffective, lost opportunity.

We strive to get it all right, to have the viewer say, "wow, that was amazing!"

This is the age of empowerment. Everybody can live broadcast on Facebook or put together a video and put it on youtube. Unfortunately, it's also the age of clutter and static. There are millions of people and companies trying to do this alone.

How do we

run things?

It still takes professional equipment and expertise to produce a top notch product, a product that can rise above the static. We offer that expertise at a reasonable cost. We run a lean organization so that we can provide the highest quality results at affordable rates.

As the founder of Ardent Owl, Ryan is well versed in all aspects of photography and video production. He has a rare understanding of both artistic and business considerations. Although you may find him wearing many different hats, Ryan is Ardent Owl’s main Director of Photography and Editor.

With a strong background in finance and customer service as well as the arts, Deborah often serves as Production Manager, but is also a Camera Operator. A successful entrepreneur, before relocating to Texas, she owned and operated Prosper Digital Media, a recording studio/production house in Wichita, Kansas.

In addition to corporate management, Morgan’s background includes radio and music production. He is Ardent Owl’s resident audio expert and scriptwriter. Prior to relocating to Texas, he was a co-owner of Prosper Digital Media, a recording studio/production house in Wichita, Kansas.

How much will

it cost?

Now you’re wondering how much it will cost.

It truly depends on what you want for a finished product. A simple but impactful 2 minute corporate “documentary style” video can run from $500 whereas a more complex, multi-location, longer format video could be closer to $5,000.

For music video production, scale and production values can vary greatly. Depending on how big of a production you want, the cost could be anywhere from $400 to $4,000 or even more. If you want 300 extras, a few helicopters… perhaps a trained zebra, who are we to stop you?? Just remember that trained zebras cost quite a bit to hire, and you should budget accordingly.
